Dr. Ahmad Zaqout


Dr. Ahmed Zaqout is a Transplant Infectious Diseases Consultant at Hamad Medical Corporation. A graduate of the University of Medicine of Monastir, Dr. Zaqout is certified by the Arab Board Medical Specialization in Internal Medicine. He also completed the Infectious Disease Fellowship at Hamad Medical Corporation.

Dr. Zaqout played a pivotal role in leading the COVID-19 Triage unit at the Communicable Disease Center, and has also contributed significantly to the establishment of the Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy unit in CDC. He provides care for inpatients and also runs outpatient clinics for Viral Hepatitis Screening and Transplant Infectious Diseases.

In addition, Dr. Zaqout is an Assistant Chief Fellow in the Infectious Disease Fellowship Program and has published over 35 research papers in top medical journals.
