It is our pleasure to welcome you to “The Best of ECMO 2025” symposium that will take place on the 21 and 22 November 2025, in Doha. This two-day, lecture-based symposium will highlight updates on current evidence, innovation and best practice in Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO). It will be a space for ECMO professionals to share knowledge and collaborate with fellow clinicians, researchers, and health care professionals who work together to improve care for patients requiring ECMO support.
Our distinguished international and regional faculty include Professor Alain Combes, Professor Matthieu Schmidt, Professor Ibrahim Fawzy, Professor Mark Ogino and Professor Nicholas Barrett, together with many leading experts, who will explore a range of topics - from basic principles and evolving indications for ECMO, to new technologies, ethical dilemmas, and the future of extracorporeal life support.
Over the course of the two days, participants will benefit from expert led lectures, pro/con debates, and case discussions designed to deliver theoretical depth and practical insights. The program promotes engagement and dialogue, providing attendees with new perspectives and applicable knowledge to use in their practice.
