Joanne Daghfal is a Senior Epidemiologist with a wealth of expertise in public health practices. Armed with a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Epidemiology from Qatar University, she also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Joseph University in Lebanon and a Professional Diploma in Infectious Diseases from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. With 18 years at Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha, Qatar, Joanne has showcased her unwavering commitment to epidemiology and infection control, progressing from Head of Hospital Infection Control to her current role as Senior Epidemiologist at the Communicable Disease Centre.
Joanne's diverse skill set is evident in her responsibilities, spanning epidemiologic surveillance, participation in outbreak investigations, and contributions to national clinical guidelines. Beyond her professional roles, she actively pursues continuous improvement, recently undertaking training in R programming and participating in global conferences like the UNAIDS HIV Estimates Workshop.
