​Ms. Sara Balushi

Ms. Sara Al Balushi, Rph, MPH, is an Epidemiologist at the Communicable Disease Center (CDC) in Qatar, where she performs analysis of extensive datasets assisting the hospital administration in analyzing and interpreting health measures. She also assists health workers in designing research methodology and conducting statistical analysis. 

Sara received her bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Oman Medical College and furthered her education with a Master’s in Public Health from Qatar University, specializing in Epidemiology. 

She spent 12 years at Heart Hospital pharmacy. Over the past five years, she has been actively engaged in research design and statical analysis for 9 publications that have significantly impacted the field and she has also conducted a research design and methodology course for cardiologists and surgeons at Heart Hospital. 

Sara’s commitment to excellence is underscored by her recent achievement. Her abstract titled “Effectiveness and Safety of Ticagrelor versus Clopidogrel in Acute Coronary Syndrome: A meta-analysis of Real-World Data” was recognized at the AHA 2022 Scientific Sessions. Earning the distinction of the Best Abstract from Qatar. 

As a dynamic and dedicated professional, she continues to play a pivotal role in advancing epidemiological research and healthcare practices in Qatar.
