Ms. Aya Ajina received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Science from Qatar University. Following the completion of an internship, she joined Hamad Medical Corporation and is currently the Head Nurse in the Podiatry Clinic at Hamad General Hospital. Ms. Ajina was one of the first Qatari female nurses in the Department of Medicine, Podiatry Section and has been working in the clinic for 16 years. She has also completed the International Inter-Professional Wound Care Course from the University of Toronto.
Last year, alongside with the Head of Podiatry Services, the Director of Nursing and other colleagues, Ms. Ajina established an outreached program called ‘Diabetic Foot Prevention’ which has since been a great success.
