Mrs. Mounia Mustafa Sabasse is a wound care and diabetic foot specialist with extensive training and 12 years of experience in wound, stoma and diabetic foot care.

She is the UAE representative for the International Working Group on Diabetic Foot – IWGDF and the founder and President of the Gulf Diabetic Foot Working Group - GDFWG.  Mounia has completed a post graduate course in Wound Care from Toronto University, Canada and an MSc in Skin Integrity Skills and Treatment in the UK.

She has also completed many internationally accredited courses on wound and diabetic foot care. She has great passion for wound care which led her to first propose the establishment of a wound care and diabetic foot clinic. Ms. Mustafa co-coordinates a multi-disciplinary wound care team in a multi-specialty tertiary hospital and has been a project leader in a diabetic foot prevention program in Rashid Hospital. She has presented in many international and local conferences and published in international wound care journals. She is the organizer of diabetic foot conferences in Dubai and is Head of Scientific Committee for the Gulf Diabetic Foot Conference. Ms. Mustafa launched the first Middle East Diabetic Foot Journal in collaboration with Wound International.
