Dr. Toufik Tabbara is a Senior Consultant and Head of the General Surgery Department, University Hospital Sharjah, UAE. Dr. Tabbara is a Canadian National, American Board Certified General Surgeon with 30 years of extensive experience in surgery with a special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery including colon, gastric and adrenal.
Dr. Tabbara’s 20 years of experience also extends to breast cancer patient management, including sentinel lymph node biopsy and oncoplastic surgery. Dr. Tabbara also specializes in state-of-the-art outpatient management of varicose veins and painless management of benign anal diseases such as hemorrhoids.
He is currently serving as Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Sharjah Medical School and is in charge of the General Surgery Program at the college. In addition to his vast experience in leadership and quality assurance and Joint Commission International Accreditation, Dr. Tabbara has several publications to his credit and regularly contributes to professional conferences and meetings.
