About the Conference

Following on from a COVID-19 induced break, the organizing committee felt it was the right time to reinitiate our efforts to organize this important scientific and educational agenda. Our intention is to deliver a rich and interesting program with a broad range of topics on Rare Disease in different specialties in medicine, including genetics, pediatrics, oncology, immunology, gastroenterology, ethics, and translational research.

This educational event is the result of the continued successful collaboration between Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar and Heidelberg University Hospital in Germany. The focus is on rare diseases on different subspecialties in medicine and the different therapeutic and research updates in rare diseases. This year’s conference will also review the quality of life of patients with rare diseases and the challenges faced by family and care givers.
