Hassen Al-Amin, MD, is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine in Qatar and a consultant at the Mental Health Hospital, Department of Psychiatry, Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar. In addition to his extensive involvement in teaching at the college and hospital, he was also participated in various national and regional committees for improvement of psychiatric services and mental health planning. His research interests focus on schizophrenia including suicide, genetics, and metabolic effects of antipsychotics, psychopharmacology, and cultural validation of assessment tools.
