Ms. Suhad Daher-Nashif 
Assistant Professor of Behavioral and Social Sciences, Qatar University

Suhad Daher-Nashif is an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences in the College of Medicine at Qatar University. She holds a BSc. and an MSc. in occupational therapy and PhD in sociology and anthropology, specialized in medical and cultural anthropology. Her research focuses on the body, women, youth and death practices in the Middle East. Her current interest is to explore the structure of the intersectionality between society, science, religion and politics in the context of medical systems vis-à-vis the prevailing medico-legal practices. She has published several research reports, position papers and academic articles in Arabic and English. Her most recent article is: “Suspended death: On freezing corpses and muting death of Palestinian women martyrs” (2018).
