Dr. Kyle E Hultgren

Kyle Hultgren is the founding director of the Purdue University College of Pharmacy’s Center for Medication Safety Advancement and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice.
 
Dr. Hultgren is a co-author of a process improvement program in partnership with Purdue University and the United States Veterans Health Administration that has been provided to thousands of professionals in health systems nationwide and is the creator of a novel tablet-based medication safety simulation education tool.
His current research includes extensive work on dashboards and measurement systems for the evaluation and improvement of medication use systems. Additionally, he holds multiple copyrights on mobile computer simulation technology and provisional patents on medical devices designed to improve patient safety.

Dr. Hultgren lectures nationally and internationally on safe medication use practices and is the recipient of the 2015 Purdue University College of Pharmacy’s Dr. Aziz Teaching Award. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Purdue University College of Pharmacy in West Lafayette, Indiana.
