Welcome Message
From the Chairperson of the 4th Qatar Acute Care Surgery Track
We are honored to welcome you all to the 4th Qatar Acute Care Surgery Conference, held in conjunction with the Collaborative Surgery Conference 2025. This year’s event marks another milestone in the continued evolution of the Acute Care Surgery (ACS) program and reflects our unwavering commitment to advancing the care of patients with surgical emergencies across Qatar and the region.
Since its formal inception in 2015, the ACS program at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has been at the forefront of delivering prompt, evidence-based, and team-driven care to non-trauma general surgical patients with acute illnesses—often presenting with diverse and complex emergency pathologies. What began as a focused clinical model has grown into a robust platform that integrates clinical service, education, research, innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
This conference is more than a scientific gathering; it is a collaborative forum that emphasizes a team-based approach to acute surgical management, knowledge exchange, and continuous professional development. Our program this year offers a rich blend of cutting-edge lectures, clinical updates, hands-on workshops, and interactive panel discussions, designed to empower attendees with the latest insights and skills needed to optimize care delivery in high-stakes acute care environments.
We are privileged to host a distinguished faculty of international, regional, and local experts, and we trust that their collective expertise—alongside your active participation—will contribute meaningfully to elevating standards of care and improving patient outcomes across diverse healthcare systems.
We look forward to welcoming you in Doha and sharing with you this educational journey of learning, innovation, and collaboration.
Warm regards,

Prof. Dr. Ahmad Zarour
Head of Acute Care Surgery
