Jonas Wadström

Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell, Senior Consultant Surgeon at Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar and the Department of Transplantation Surgery at the Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden. He has 30 year experience of transplantation surgery, including kidney, pancreas liver and organ donation. A pioneer of living donor laparoscopic nephrectomy with a special interest in living donor kidney transplantation. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 peer-reviewed journal articles, abstracts and book chapters. He is past President of the Swedish Transplantation Society and Councilor of the European Society of Organ Transplantation. He is key opinion leader of the International Transplant Society and has been honored with the titles of Dr HC and Professor de Onoare.
