Dr. Ambika Anand is currently a Sr. Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in HMC and is placed in Hamad General Hospital, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh UK. She graduated from Lady Hardinge Medical College New Delhi India and completed his surgical training in Delhi University Associated Hospitals . She was an Assistant Professor of Surgery in Maulana Azad Medical College Delhi and went to UK and retrained in General Surgery. She obtained her higher surgical training in St. Barts Hospital, Royal Marsden London UK and Specialized in Breast and Oncoplastic Surgery. After completion of her training, she was working as a Consultant Breast Surgeon in Boston Lincolnshire UK. During this time she lead 3 breast units across the county and was the clinical Director for Surgery in Pilgrim Hospital Boston UK.
She is part of a team of very progressive Breast Surgeons and as a team they have made major changes and improvements to the Breast Surgical Service . She is also a member the National Cancer Advisory Group for Breast Cancer. She is also currently the Program Director for a successful Breast Surgery Fellowship.
Dr. Ambika Anand has also taken over the new role of Surgical Clerkship Director for the CMED of Qatar University.
