Dr. Salahddin Gehani MD MSc FRCS FACS
Dr. Salahddin Gehani is currently a Senior Consultant Surgeon and Head of Breast Surgery Unit at HMC.
He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Tripoli –Libya , he had his initial surgical training in Tripoli Teaching Hospitals and subsequently pursued further surgical training in the UK. He obtained the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and continued in higher surgical training in general and breast surgery where he held senior registrar and consultant posts in UK.
He conducted research projects in pursuance of MSc and MD degrees at the University College London. His first benchmark research was entitled Hepatic Microcirculation Using Laser Doppler Flowmetry in Animal Model; and the second project looked at Angiogenesis and bone metastasis in Breast cancer patients.
Currently he is involved in a number of research projects in HMC and collaborating with Sidra Medical and Research Centre and Weill Cornell Medical College. He is part of a panel of reviewers to the Medical Research center in HMC.
