Dr. Reham Hassan

Dr. Reham is acting AED for Quality at the Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI). She has an MPH and is part of the faculty in the Qatar University Health Systems Improvement MPH concentration, where she is supervising master’s students’ practicum projects. She is an HMC/IHI fellow and currently participating in the IHI Improvement Advisor training.
Dr. Reham is a clinical hematologist by training and started at HMC as a chief resident at the National Center for Cancer Care and Research (NCCCR). Acting as the Medical Quality lead at NCCCR, she actively contributed in the continuous readiness for the JCI accreditation since 2006 and led several local improvement projects.
In 2011 she was certified as professional health care quality, CPHQ by NAHQ and in 2012 she achieved Six Sigma Green Belt certification. She is also certified as a level 1 Clinical Microsystems Coach by The Dartmouth Institute Microsystem Academy in 2013.
She is currently heading the HHQI education and training agenda and is the Program Director of HHQI and is part of the core faculty in several training programs on Quality and Patient Safety among. She also is coaching for the Clinical Care Improvement Training Program (CCITP), and is actively engaged in promoting Improvement Advisor and Mentoring programs.
She is a coach and facilitator at HMC in their ‘Comskil’ communication training course. She has also been a Middle East Forum organizing committee member, poster judge and speaker (2014-2016).
