Mark J Spangehl, MD


Dr. Spangehl is an Associate Professor of Orthopedics at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and also a consultant at the section of Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgery, Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Mayo Clinic, Phoenix, Arizona.

He is the Program Director of Orthopedic Surgery, Programs in Arizona, Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Spangehl completed his medical school education from the University of Saskatchewan, followed by his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of British Columbia.

Dr. Spangehl did AO International  Clinical Trauma Fellowship from Hannover, Germany and  Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction from Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr. Spangehl is also highly involved in medical and scientific education, having founded both the Orthopedic Surgery Residency and the Adult Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Mayo Clinic's campus in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona. 

He is the Associate editor of Arthroplasty Today journal and Member of editorial board of Journal of Arthroplasty.
