Currently senior consultant physician and endocrinologist at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Doha, Qatar, he is also Assistant Professor at Weil Cornell Medical College in Qatar
He graduated from Tripoli University in Libya and undertook his postgraduate training in United Kingdom, obtaining Membership of Royal College of Physicians Ireland. He worked as an SHO and registrar in general medicine at Leicester University Hospitals in the UK then moved to the United States for residency training in internal medicine. He undertook a fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Robert Wood Johnson and obtained the American Board in Internal Medicine and the American Board in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
