Joint 3rd Qatar International Allergy and Immunology Conference (QIAIC3)

We are pleased to invite you to submit your scientific work for presentation at the Joint 3rd Qatar International Allergy and Immunology Conference (QIAIC3), organized by Hamad Medical Corporation, in collaboration with Qatar Allergy and Immunology Network (QAIS) and CHOICE-Global.

This premier event will bring together leading clinicians, researchers and healthcare professionals to discuss the latest advances in allergy and immunology.

Accepted abstracts will undergo peer review by the conference scientific committee, and the highest-quality submissions will be published as an e-book in partnership with the Frontiers in Allergy Journal. Abstracts may be presented as oral presentations, posters or case reports.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Topics of interest

We welcome submissions in, but not limited to, the following areas:

  1. Allergy Diagnosis: Anaphylaxis, asthma, drug and food allergy, insect venom allergy, occupational allergy, ocular allergy, and others (adult and pediatric).
  2. Dermatological Conditions: Atopic dermatitis, urticaria, angioedema, or other skin-related disorders.
  3. Respiratory and ENT Disorders: Allergic rhinitis, chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis and related conditions.
  4. Gastrointestinal-Related Allergic Diseases
  5. COVID-19 and Immune System: Impact on immunity and respiratory health.
  6. Basic Immunology, Immunodeficiency (Primary & Secondary) and Autoimmunity
  7. Immunomodulators, Biologics and Immunotherapy
  8. Prevention Strategies for Allergic Diseases
  9. Environmental Allergy & Climate Change
  10. Molecular Biology and Immunology Biomarkers, OMICS and microbiome studies.

Abstract eligibility

  • The submitted work must not have been presented at a national or international conference or published in any journal before QIAIC3.

Abstract format

  • Only Word document format is accepted.
  • Abstracts may be structured or unstructured research summaries.
  • Structured abstracts must follow this format:
    • Background/Objectives
    • Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion
    • References (2 – 3) and Acknowledgments (optional)
  • Case reports must follow this format:
    • Introduction
    • Case Report
    • Conclusion

Authorship and limits

  • There is no limit on the number of authors for research abstracts.
  • Case reports are limited to a maximum of six authors.
  • Each submitting (corresponding) author may submit up to two abstracts. However, authorship is unlimited.
  • Please provide the full list of contributing authors and their affiliations.

Word and image limits

  • Abstracts should not exceed 1,950 characters (~300–350 words), excluding the title and author details.
  • Tables or figures can be included, but this should deduct 250 characters from the total word count. Spaces do not count as characters
  • All graphics (figures) and text-based graphics (tables) should be provided as 72-300 dpi, pre-sized .gif, .jpg or .tiff images only, with a maximum width of 440 pixels (no limit on length).
  • Black-and-white digital images should be in grayscale mode. Color images should be saved in RGB color mode.

Review process

  • The Scientific Committee, comprised of local, regional and international member experts, will evaluate all abstracts.
  • Editing services will be provided for free, and authors will be contacted with instructions on how to accept and submit a corrected edited version of the abstract for Committee re-evaluation. Failure to submit the professionally edited version on time will result in rejection of the abstract.
  • The corresponding author will be notified of the committee’s decision.

Submission and required author confirmations

Submit your abstract ​​with the following confirmations:

  1. Permission to Publish: Agree to allow the abstract to be published in electronic media and hardcopy if accepted.
  2. Authors’ Approval: Confirm that all listed authors have approved the submission.
  3. Attendance Commitment: Confirm that at least one author will register and attend the conference in person to present the abstract.
  4. Preferred Presentation Mode: Indicate whether you prefer oral or poster presentation (not guaranteed but considered).

​Presentation details

  • Accepted abstracts will be displayed as posters in the conference exhibition area.
  • Six abstracts will be selected for oral presentation only and will not be displayed as posters.
  • Poster display/printing will be handled by the conference organizers.

Registration benefits

  • Abstract submission is free of charge.
  • The author of an accepted oral presentation will receive free registration for the duration of the conference (two days), and the author presenting the poster abstract will receive a discounted registration fee for duration of the conference.
