Welcome to 3rd Qatar International Geriatrics and Dementia Conference, hosted by HMC's Department of Geriatrics & Long-term care under the aegis of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Healthy Aging and Dementia. The Collaborating Center designation by the WHO Director General recognises the department’s contribution towards implementing WHO’s mandated work, as well as its achievements in the field of elderly and dementia care. The centre is also responsible for providing technical expertise to countries in the region and beyond in the fields of healthy aging and dementia.
Our 3-day conference will take place from the 26 to 28 October 2023, at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel in the vibrant city of Doha, Qatar. We are pleased to host this remarkable event for the third time, which focuses on achieving global excellence in geriatric and dementia care through innovation, empowerment, and resilience. The conference theme is: "Achieving Global Excellence in Geriatric and Dementia Care", which underlines our ambitions to share our achievements with international stakeholders.
