Dr. Pravija Talapan Manikoth is a Senior Consultant Geriatric Psychiatrist working in the Department of Geriatrics and Long-Term Care at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). Dr. Talapan Manikoth is prominently associated with the Geriatric Memory Clinic at Rumailah Hospital, where she provides specialized care to individuals navigating the complexities of memory-related concerns in their later years. She is also a working task force member of the Qatar National Dementia Plan.
Beyond clinical practice, she is actively engaged in both research and teaching within the Department of Geriatrics and Long-Term Care. Before joining HMC, she worked as a Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist at the Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in the UK. She completed her MBBS in India, and after that, did her core and higher specialist training in Psychiatry in West Midlands, UK. She has a CCT in Old Age Psychiatry and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Her special interest areas include Dementia, Depression and Geriatric Liaison Psychiatry.
