
Ms. AL Anoud Ali AL Fehaidi

Ms. AL Fehaidi is the Clinical Dietitian Supervisor, at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Qatar. She joined HMC in October 2010 as a Clinical Dietitian in Enaya Specialized Care Centre (ESCC), where she worked for three years. She was then promoted to Senior Clinical Dietitian based in Rumailah Hospital, with oversight of Dietetics & Nutrition across all geriatric and long-term care facilities.
Ms. AL Fehaidi is official preceptor for students from Qatar University affiliated to the Department of Health Sciences - Human Nutrition Program and is experienced in providing training to students and also to facilitate transition of newly qualified dietitians to autonomous qualified practitioners. She possesses extensive experience and skills in teaching and has regularly been involved in developing and teaching Nutritional Essential modules to doctors, nurses and other allied health professionals.
Ms. AL Fehaidi is an active member of several committees, which focus on patient care, safety and management, using a patient-centred and holistic approach to nutritional disease management. She introduced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and motivational interviewing techniques for use with distressed, resistant and hostile patients during their clinical reasoning. Ms. AL Fehaidi has also developed patient care protocols on medical nutrition therapy and clinical practice guideline such as management of hypoglycemia in long term facilities, maintaining feeding through the NGT and role of nutrition in the wound healing process.
Ms. AL Fehaidi graduated from Qatar University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Nutrition. Since then she has completed numerous additional courses to add to her knowledge and experience, including quality improvement courses: HHQI’S intermediate quality improvement course (IQIC) 2021, Clinical Care Improvement Training Program (CCITP) Cycle 12 – 2017, and fundamentals of quality improvement course. She has been actively involved and leading many of quality projects and clinical research in long-term and geriatric nutritional care and has been a speaker at various conferences on these topics.
Ms. AL Fehaidi graduated from international courses such as the Certificate Foundations of Lifestyle Medicine Board Review (from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine 2021); Certificate in Lifestyle Medicine (CLM), and Certificate in Clinical Nutrition (from Weill Cornell Medical College-Qatar); Certificate in Health & Wellness Empowerment, and Leadership in Healthcare 2020 (from College of the North Atlantic-Qatar).
