Aishat Akomolafe

Aishat Akomolafe is the current National Officer of Public Health for Qatar Medical Student Association. Hailing from Abuja, Nigeria, she is a 3rd year medical student at the College of Medicine, Qatar University who aspires to be a future pediatrician. As a student, she seeks to educate her fellow colleagues on bridging the gap between academic life and social responsibility and becoming part of an accountable and socially aware community. Aishat discovered her passion for public health advocacy at the beginning of her medical school journey and has since then initiated and participated in various public health events and campaigns across the country. Her areas of focus include pressing health issues including Antimicrobial Resistance, health access and planetary health, Mental Health, non-communicable diseases, Social Determinants of Health and Universal Health Coverage.
