Ms. Mariam Nooh Al Mutawa
Acting Chief Nursing Officer - HMC
Ms. Al Mutawa is the Acting Chief Nursing Officer of HMC and has been Executive Director of Rumailah Hospital since 2017.
During the first COVID -19 peak, she was the HMC nursing lead of the System Wide Incident Command Committee (SWICC), as well the HMC Tactical Command Group (TCG) Nursing lead for the current C-19 situation. Currently, she is now the nursing lead for the TCG 3 For FIFA 2022 Qatar. She is also a senior member of the Corporate Nursing and Midwifery Department, and board member of the Nursing Now in Qatar.
Mariam has 23 years of nursing experience and she is part of the hospital’s executive team, where she has oversight of daily hospital operations, managing over 1100 nurses currently assigned across all major divisions within the hospital and satellite services, in-patients and ambulatory. She has also led many initiatives enhancing patient experience like ‘as what matters to you at RH’. She is passionate about developing staff, especially young Qataris nursing and non-nursing. She has been selected as mentor for Nagwa program, as she believes that the Qataris are the future of the nation’s health care services.
As part of her previous corporate roles, Ms. Al-Mutawa held the role of Assistant Executive Director of Nursing Corporately when she led the OPD Review, in relation to non-nursing activities as initiative related to Value for Many projects; and led patient experience initiatives at NCCCR. As Director of Nursing for HMC-SickKids Partnership Project, where she led various projects, including Pediatric Nursing Education. This experience helped her qualify for the role of Director of Nursing in the HMC – SIDRA Joint Affiliation Office, supporting the implementation of the ‘one program, multiple institutions’ initiative across both organizations.
She was able to present Qatari Nurses in different national, regional, and international events, was the first Qatari Nursing Executive joined Qatar Leadership Center at the Executive program.
