The Abstract Committee is pleased to announce a Call for Surgical Case Videos for QHC2026. Submit a short video presenting an interesting surgical case. Please review the guidelines below carefully before preparing your submission
Submission deadline: 14 September 2026
1. Eligibility
• Videos should demonstrate original surgical techniques, innovative approaches, educational content, or unique clinical cases relevant to the conference theme.
• The presenting author must be registered for the conference.
2. Video Specifications
• Duration: Maximum 5 minutes (unless otherwise specified).
• Format: MP4 (.mp4).
• Resolution: Minimum 1080p (1920 × 1080).
• Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (preferred).
• Frame Rate: 25–30 fps.
• Maximum File Size: 500 MB.
3. Content Requirements
The video should include:
• Title of the procedure.
• Authors and institutional affiliation.
• Clinical background and indication.
• Relevant patient history (without identifying information).
• Surgical/medical objectives.
• Step-by-step operative/procedure technique.
• Key anatomical landmarks.
• Intraoperative tips and technical pearls.
• Management of challenges or complications, if applicable.
• Postoperative outcome.
• Learning points and conclusion.
4. Patient Privacy
• Patient confidentiality must be strictly maintained.
• Do not include patient names, hospital identification numbers, dates of birth, or facial images unless explicit written consent has been obtained.
• All videos must comply with institutional and international patient privacy regulations.
5. Narration
• English narration is preferred.
• Clear, concise, and educational commentary is encouraged.
• Background music should be avoided.
6. Editing
• High-quality editing is encouraged.
• Include labels, arrows, and annotations where appropriate.
• Avoid excessive transitions or distracting visual effects.
7. Scientific Integrity
• The video should accurately represent the procedure performed.
• Any modifications, accelerated footage, or reconstructed sequences should be clearly indicated.
• Commercial promotion of products or devices is not permitted (should be blurred if unavoidable).
8. Disclosure
Authors must disclose:
• Financial relationships.
• Conflicts of interest.
• Industry support, if applicable.
9. What to Submit
Part A — The Video File
Submit your video using one of the three options in Section 10 (How to Submit the Video).
Part B — Supporting Information
· Name, Department, and Institute.
· Case Title.
· Video abstract — a descriptive text summary of the case (maximum 250 words).
· Presenter information.
· Conflict of interest declaration.
· Patient consent confirmation (where applicable).
10. How to Submit the Video
Please choose whichever submission option works best for you. All three are accepted equally by the committee.
Option 1 — Share via your Hamad OneDrive (internal)
1. Upload your video file to your Hamad OneDrive (your hospital work account).
2. Right-click the file → Share.
4. Click Send,
1. Open the submission link above.
2. Fill in your name, department, and case title.
3. Upload your video file directly through the form.
Note: This link may not open on the Hamad internal network, as external form links are sometimes restricted. If it load, please try from a personal device / mobile data, or use Option 1 or 3 instead.
Option 3 — Share via your own Google Drive
1. Upload your video file to your personal Google Drive.
2. Right-click the file → Share.
3. Add qhc2026casevideo@gmail.com as an Editor (so the file can be downloaded), then click Send.
4. Mention in your email to
QHC2026@hamad.qa that you've shared the file via Google Drive.
11. Review Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated based on:
• Educational value.
• Scientific merit.
• Technical quality.
• Surgical innovation.
• Clinical relevance.
• Audio and video quality.
• Adherence to submission guidelines.
12. Copyright
By submitting a video, the authors confirm that:
• The work is original.
• They hold the necessary permissions to use all content.
• The conference organizers may display the video during scientific sessions and archive it for educational purposes unless otherwise specified.
13. Submission Deadline
All materials must be submitted by September 14, 2026. Late or incomplete submissions may not be considered for review.
Note:
• AI-generated videos will not be accepted
• If AI animation is needed for part of the video, it should not impact the core content, and must be clearly addressed and titled as AI.
