Dr. Amr Badr is a Consultant Cardiologist at HMC and currently he holds the position of director of the Heart Failure Program at HMC. In 2012 he initiated the Advanced Heart Failure Program with a multidisciplinary team at HMC.

Dr. Badr graduated from medical school in Egypt in 1993, and then completed a Master’s degree in cardiovascular disease 1999. He also completed an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship from Leiden University in the Netherlands, and a Medical Doctorate of Medicine in Cardiovascular Diseases from the Netherlands.

Dr. Badr was appointed as a lecturer of cardiology in 2003 then was appointed assistant professor of cardiology. He then changed his career focus to become a Heart Failure / Heart Transplant Specialist after he joined University Of Toronto 2007.

Dr. Badr was involved in research throughout his career and has numerous publications.
