Primoz Petric, MD. PhD
Dr. Primoz Petric is a Senior Consultant and Clinical Lead at the Department of Radiation Oncology, National Center for Cancer Care and Research, Hamad Medical Corporation. He holds a PhD from the field of Gynecologic Radiotherapy.
From 2007 to 2012, he was Head of Brachytherapy Department at the Institute of Oncology, Ljubljana, Slovenia and he was Assistant at the Medical University of Ljubljana. He is a scientific co-worker in the international Gynecological GEC ESTRO (European SocieTy for Radiotherapy and Oncology) group and member of faculty at international ESTRO school and teacher/course director at other periodic international courses organized by the Medical University of Vienna, Medical University of Aarhus and International Atomic Energy Agency.
He has authored or co-authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts; presented lectures at international conferences; and wrote chapters for medical books and conference abstracts. He is a reviewer or section editor for seven international peer-reviewed journals and an officer in different national and international professional committees and societies.
Dr Petric’s main clinical and research fields are gynecological and urological oncology, contouring uncertainties and development of brachytherapy applicators. He co-authored or led the development of on-line tools for e-learning and software applications for contouring analysis and tumor mapping.
