Dr Azim is a Professor of Clinical Oncology and past chairman of the of Oncology
Department ,Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. He also chairs “Kasr Al Ainy School
Of Oncology ” KASO " the official educational organization within the Department of Oncology , Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University.
Dr Azim serves as the founding president of Africa and Middle East Cancer Intergroup “AMCI”, which is the first cancer research organization in the region . In addition, he chaired the steering committee of the NCCN Middle East chapter ( 2008-2014)
Dr Azim was the founder and the first president (2006-2010) of the Egyptian Hemato-oncology Group (EHOG), he still serves as a member of the steering committee of the group
Dr Azim is the current president of the Cairo Oncology Center, one of the largest
ESMO-accredited Private Cancer centers in the Middle East region.
