Dr. Rajvir Singh was a Sr. Scientist (Biostatistics) in the Department of Biostatistics at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India for 22 years. In this role he was exposed to a wide variety of statistical techniques, including their use and interpretation using various statistical software programs. He completed his postgraduate studies in mathematics at Agra University in Agra, India and secured a gold medal in the subject. He completed his PhD from AIIMS, a premier institute in health. Dr. Singh has been actively involved in research methodologies and biostatistics course teachings to residents and research fellows. He has guided more than 1,000 theses of MD/DM/MCh/PhD and research projects in terms of sample size calculations, data management, exploratory analysis, analytical analysis and results interpretation.
In December 2005, he joined Hamad Medical Corporation as a Sr. Consultant, Biostatistics. In this capacity, he is actively involved in research consultancy and educational workshops on research methodology and Biostatistics and is committed to helping HMC become a research oriented institute. He is leading 4 NPRP projects and 4 NPRP and has already completed projects worth more than $8 million. He is a reviewer of the Journal of Medicine, Trauma and Acute Care. He has more than 350 peer reviewed publications to his credit and an impact factor of 1,350 to his credit in the form of author and co-author.
