Mr. Dawoud is the Director of clinical bed management since 2013 at Hamad General Hospital (HGH), Qatar’s largest hospital (546 beds) and a tertiary academic medical center. He has a Master’s degree in Public Health-health care from Westminster University, London, UK. Also, he has a bachelor degree in nursing from Jordan University, Amman- Jordan. He has professional memberships in Nursing Midwifery Council NMC- UK and Jordan Nurses and Midwives Council JNMC- Jordan.
At HGH he has successfully led the development and establishment of a comprehensive robust 24/7 bed management structure for HGH, multidisciplinary teams and various Quality process improvements. This has improved patient flow; access to appropriate beds based on clinical need and enhanced the quality of care for patients.
He assisted in creating a central transfer office for the receipt of information pertaining to transfers to and from overseas, developing an agreed process with the Ministry of health of health-overseas office and emergency medical services.
He developed a mechanism and performance framework for bed management with appropriate clinical outcome measurements and international benchmark indicators.
He assisted with his team various initiatives and hospital medical programs in Hamad general hospital such as opening the new acute medical assessment unit and acute stroke.
