Lakshman Swamy, MD, is Chief Medical Resident/VA Chief Resident in Quality and Patient Safety at Boston Medical Center. His interests focus on teaching and evaluating safety and the delivery of care in pulmonary and critical care medicine, especially for the veteran population. He served as Co-Chair of the 2015 Annual Forum for Quality Improvement in Health Care and has been a keynote speaker and debate participant at several major quality improvement conferences. Dr. Swamy is active in physician leadership at the Massachusetts Medical Society and directs and produces creative content for Radio Rounds, which features interviews with leaders in modern medicine. His scholarly work has included evaluations of student perceptions of quality, adverse event reporting by residents, and topics in pulmonary and critical care.
