Program Overview
The Pain Management Unit in the Anesthesia, ICU and Perioperative Medicine Department has designed this fellowship program to provide advanced training in the assessment and management of pain. It is targeted at developing a competent fellow who will serve as a consultant for problems related to pain management regardless to the pain complexity. It is created to establish a well-recognized team who are trained professionally and are competent to serve the community.
During the fellowship that lasts two years, all the elements required by ACGMEI accreditation are covered seamlessly. The Fellows will have the opportunity to learn from a faculty that has rich experience and variety of international training.
By the end of this program, the fellows must demonstrate knowledge of the evaluation and management of pain patients. The fellow will learn to critically evaluate and demonstrate the ability to access scientific information, as well as the application of this knowledge to patient care.
