We have a large stock of SIMULATED medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products available to make the simulations more realistic. Numerous SIMULATED medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products are available to make your simulation more realistic. We also have several types of SIMULATED insulin and code drugs packaged exactly as in the crash cart. The packaging and labels are realistic while medication names are altered to be different from real medications. The labels also state that the medications are for simulation use only. However, we go a step further to help prevent these SIMULATED medications from getting into hospital circulation:

  • Use labels from the Foundation for Healthcare Simulation Safety that state “Not for human use – Education only.” Every SIMULATED medication at Itqan should have this label. If you find one without the label, kindly make us aware so we can put a new one on.
  • We make many of our own medication bottles. We add blue or green food coloring to the fluid in the vial to make it different than real medications

Please see the list for the types of SIMULATED medications, intravenous fluids, and blood products available. We have empty vials with rubber stoppers, plastic tops, and a crimper that allow us to make customized medications for your scenario. We also have IV bag labels so you can choose the type of IV fluid that your simulated patient needs. Note that only distilled water should be injected into our manikins and task trainers.
