Research Activities
1. National Oral Health Survey
- The Oral Health Institute is conducting a comprehensive national oral health survey to assess the oral health status of the population.
- The survey aims to gather data on oral health indicators, such as dental caries, periodontal disease, and oral hygiene practices, among different age groups and demographics.
- The findings of this survey will provide valuable insights into the country's current oral health situation and help develop targeted interventions and policies to improve oral health outcomes.
2. Systemic Diseases and Oral Health
- The Oral Health Institute plans to investigate the complex relationship between systemic diseases and oral health, as growing evidence suggests that oral health conditions can significantly impact overall health and well-being.
- The bidirectional links between oral diseases, such as periodontitis, and various systemic conditions, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory disorders.
- By understanding these connections, the institute aims to develop innovative approaches to prevent, diagnose, and treat oral and systemic diseases, ultimately improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
