    The HMC System Wide Patient Flow Collaborative Learning Session 3, took place 19th – 21st November 2023.

    Leadership Call. Starting with a half-day virtual learning session, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Faculty provided an overview on the Hospital-Wide Patient Flow Strategies – Data Driven Learning System, while HMC’s Business Intelligence Unit (BIU) has given an update on the Flow measures. In addition, HMC Leaders: Dr Abdulla Ali Asad Al Ansari, Mr. Nasser Said Mohd Al Jaffali and Dr Aftab Mohammad Umar, shared their inspiring messages to inaugurate the 2-day learning session.

    Story Boards. The Teams showcased their Flow successes, achievements, and wish list that permits their ambitious improvement ideas to be emphasized.

    Breakout sessions. Each specialty was given an opportunity to share on the current best evidence-based practices and proactively partnering with IHI faculty: Pat Rutherford, Lloyd Provost, Eric Cruzen, Karen Murrell, Bonnie Geld and Gill Smith and supported by local experts and HHQI faculty.

    Flow collaborative is a powerful concept that emphasizes the importance of teamwork, effective communication, and shared goals in achieving optimal performance and outcomes and enhance efficiency. Participants were fully immersed and engaged.
