Heart Hospital has aligned its goals with the principles of person-centered care, celebrating World Heart Day’s theme, “Use Heart for Action.” This theme emphasizes the urgency of raising awareness about heart health and accelerating efforts to prevent, detect early, and manage cardiovascular diseases, highlighting the urgency of proactive heart health initiatives.
With active community participation and encouragement for proactive steps toward heart disease prevention, the hospital formed partnerships with community-based organizations to address the needs of vulnerable populations. Together, they raise awareness about cardiovascular disease risk factors and prevention, improve access to cardiac care, and provide financial support for treatment. Heart Hospital’s 3rd Free Heart Check-up and Awareness Camp, held on 18 October 2024, welcomed over 100 participants and their families.
As part of Heart Hospital’s ongoing partnership with the community, various activities have been organized, including awareness campaigns on cardiovascular diseases and prevention. These initiatives focus on educating individuals through lectures and providing guidance on healthy diets. Comprehensive assessments, such as vital sign checks and other necessary tests, were also included. Counseling and interventions—covering areas like weight management, nutritional advice, and exercise prescriptions—were scheduled twice a year in collaboration with the Center for Indian Communities (CIC), targeting vulnerable patients and laborers as pilot communities. The hospital plans to expand these efforts and collaborate with other local organizations. All of these activities were held at the Heart Hospital.
This collaborative approach not only improves heart health outcomes but also fosters a supportive and compassionate environment as Heart Hospital continues its journey toward achieving the Certification for Excellence in Person-Centered Care, delivering the highest quality of care in the region.
