The Person-Centered Care (PCC) Ambassadors are essential in fostering community engagement and supporting healthcare initiatives. Their commitment to PCC was evident during Heart Hospital’s 4th Medical Health Awareness Campaign, organized in collaboration with the Center for Empowerment and Care of the Elderly (Ehsan) and the Center for Indian Community. A total of 14 PCC Ambassadors dedicated their time and efforts to ensure the success of the campaign, held on 15 and 28 February 2025, further reinforcing Heart Hospital’s mission of delivering compassionate, person-centered care to the community.
The ambassadors created a welcoming and supportive atmosphere by greeting attendees at the main entrance and guiding them to the auditorium for educational lectures. They played a key role in assisting with registration, enlisting the participants for health check-ups. The ambassadors also directed attendees to various health stations, including vital signs assessments, non-invasive consultations, and diagnostic services such as ECG and ECHO. Their seamless coordination helped streamline the process, ensuring a smooth and organized experience for all participants.
Center for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement (CPESE) has designed the PCC Ambassadors Program, a unique volunteer initiative at HMC, aimed to enhance patient experience by integrating empathy and personal connection into healthcare delivery. HMC facilities interested in leveraging the support of PCC Ambassadors are encouraged to contact CPESE via email at PCC.Ambassadors@hamad.qa for more information.
