Cancer Genetics Program


The cancer genetic program is heavily involved in education to healthcare providers and the public about hereditary and familial cancers, referral and practice guidelines are incorporated to help healthcare providers identity high risk patients and to be referred for further assessment. The program’s members are also actively recognized in local and international conferences as speakers to share their expertise on cancer genetics

Moreover, the cancer genetic program heavily supports the training and clinical rotations of the following:

  • Medical and Biomedical Students
  • Clinical and Biochemical Genetics Fellowship
  • Genetic Counselling Master Program

The cancer genetics program member’s are core entity of the national training program in genetic counselling at Qatar university and they guide teaching and clinical training curriculum.

The cancer genetics program also supports the ACGMEI‐accredited oncology fellowship ACGMEI‐accredited program at HMC.
