Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Orthopaedic Department delivers advanced, multidisciplinary care to Qatari and non-Qatari residents. The department offers a wide range of diagnostic and surgical services, including:

  • Joint arthroplasties (hip, knee, ankle, shoulder)
  • Arthroscopic procedures (knee, ankle, wrist, shoulder, elbow)
  • Advanced spinal surgeries, including deformity correction, minimally invasive techniques, and disc replacement
  • Foot and ankle procedures for deformities and injuries
  • Paediatric orthopaedic care, including treatment of congenital conditions
  • Sports injury management, such as ligament reconstruction and rotator cuff repair
  • Trauma – from simple to complex fractures and polytrauma. Treatment of all types of fracture, including upper and lower limbs, spine, shoulder, pelvis etc.

Bone and Joint Center

An outpatient branch of Hamad General Hospital, the Bone and Joint Center specialises in the assessment, diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions. Its services are delivered by a team of expert clinicians offering evidence-based care through the following specialised clinics:

  • Knee and Shoulder Clinic – ACL and shoulder reconstruction, arthroscopies, joint replacements
  • Knee Clinic – Meniscal tears, anterior knee pain, arthroscopies, replacements
  • Knee and Hip Clinic – Management of hip/knee arthritis, joint replacements
  • Hip and Pelvis Clinic – FAI, labral tears, hip dysplasia; arthroscopy and reconstruction
  • Shoulder Clinic – Rotator cuff injuries, impingement, frozen shoulder; arthroscopy, total shoulder replacement
  • Spine Clinic – Disc disease, scoliosis, stenosis; discectomy, fusion procedures
  • Tumour Clinic – Bone/soft tissue tumours, including metastatic cancer
  • Pain Management Clinic – Spine injections and MSK pain treatment by anaesthesiologists
  • Screening Clinic – Initial assessment and referral to subspecialty services
  • Foot and Ankle Clinic – Fractures, Achilles tendonitis; reconstructive surgeries
  • Foot Clinic – Bunion and hammertoe correction, plantar fasciitis

  • Paediatric Clinic – Congenital and acquired orthopaedic conditions in children
