On arrival at the Qatar Rehabilitation Institute (QRI) visitors should go to the Nesma’ak Customer Service help desk at the entrance to the hospital. It is not necessary to contact the center before visiting a patient.

Visiting Restrictions
On occasions visiting times may be restricted, depending on the health condition of the patient. Children under 14 years of age are always limited to 3pm to 7pm. Children must be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times.

Visitor Numbers
In general, patients may have two visitors at a time but this number is dependent on the health and circumstances of individual patients. Adults must accompany all child visitors, please see our visiting times section for visiting restrictions on children under 14.

Gifts
Flowers, pets, food and live plants are not allowed in the hospital, as these items will compromise infection control measures.

Parking
Parking is free of charge for patients and visitors to the QRI. Designated parking spots for persons with disabilities are located in parking areas closest to the main entrance.

Smoking Restrictions
As per Qatar law, smoking is prohibited in all public areas, including all HMC grounds. All hospitals within the HMC are smoke free. This smoking restriction extends to all staff, patients and visitors. Any person(s) smoking in the hospital or on hospital grounds will be asked by security to immediately cease smoking and a fine may be issued.
