The structure and agenda of the event was built around the theme 'Celebrating Collaborative Research'. The Scientific Committee, chaired by Dr. Tawfeg Ben Omran and Organizing Committee, chaired by Dr. Hesham Al Saloos led the development of the program.
A call for abstracts invited researchers to submit abstracts on child health research related topics. The Scientific Committee selected eight abstracts for podium presentations and poster presentation. The event featured guest speakers from HMC, Shafallah and SickKids who presented research findings related to the issues affecting child health in Qatar and in the Gulf Region.
The 3rd Annual Child Health Research Day was attended by 250 delegates from within the organization and external to HMC.
