Welcome to the 3rd Issue of ‘Children First’ E-Magazine

This is an exciting time for the Department of Pediatrics and this issue yet again is full of great stories to keep you up to date with all the great work taking place as a result of the HMC/SickKids Partnership Project.

I would like to mention in particular two exciting initiatives led by our clinical teams. Firstly, our Pediatric Nephrology Team who carried out the first pediatric transplant  at HMC and secondly, the Pediatric Cardiothoracic and Cardiology Team on their humanitarian program supported by charities to bring children from neighboring countries to HMC to have cardiac surgery. You can read more about their excellent work under the new pediatric services and programs section of the magazine.

We will be launching our new website at the end of April which will feature on the HMC website home page, just click on the tab partnerships for more information about what we are doing.
