The HMC/SickKids International Partnership Project recognizes the essential role played by education in the enhancement of pediatric services provided at HMC. Consequently, the project co-organized the first Multi-disciplinary Child Healthcare Professionals Education Forum with Sidra Medical and Research Center in December 2012. In order to maintain the momentum achieved through the forum and promote collegiality among all of the organizations involved in the Academic Health Systems (AHS) initiative, a new task force, solely focused on pediatric education is being established. The task force will be co-chaired by HMC and Sidra and its membership will encompass representatives from the eight key AHS institutions. The task force aims to implement the recommendations suggested in the education forum report which was prepared by SickKids International, based on the outcome of the forum.
