The Quality and Safety Task Force aims to review the current status of quality and patient safety within pediatrics, implement recommended changes and monitor the transformation of care within HGH pediatric units.

The Chair of the task force is Dr. Basema Al Houri, Consultant of Pediatric Infectious Diseases in HGH. Believing in the advantage of a multi-disciplinary team, Dr. Basema Al Houri ensured that the membership of the task force includes representatives from the medical, allied health and nursing professions. 

Since the Quality and Safety Task Force has just been established the initial work will mainly focus on evaluating the current status of quality and patient safety within pediatrics. The task force will serve as an advocate and a model of excellence, raising awareness on the importance of quality and safety in providing excellent healthcare.
