Healthy eating for all
Healthy eating is the process of controlling your intake of food to ensure that it is balanced and that you get the right nutrients in the right amounts. A healthy diet is a major contributing factor to a healthy lifestyle for all people; it can prevent the onset of type 2 diabetes, or, if already diagnosed with diabetes, it can help a person control their blood sugar levels and control their weight to prevent additional complications.

Diabetes and diet
It is not necessary for people with diabetes to eat ‘special’ foods. The most important thing is to closely monitor fat and sugar intake to prevent worsening of conditions and associated complications. Regular eating times are also a key element of control. A healthy and balanced diet is a very important step in controlling diabetes and maintaining a good quality of life.
