Being a PFAC member and co-chair allows us not only to meet the needs of our patients but also to advocate for others as well. Your voice is counted whether you are a member or not. It’s an open platform for all PNS patients to share their thoughts and concerns.

It’s a pleasure and an incredible experience to be part of PNS efforts towards excellence of care delivery to patients in home settings.

We thank them for giving us this opportunity along with nursing staff members to hear from each other and collaborate on one goal toward shared care improvements.

Involving patients and families in planning and implementing service improvement projects and patient programs became a culture and essential element of PNS.

I aspire to more new projects and cooperation in the future.

As a member of the PNS PFAC council, I am delighted to be part of a community that encourages open expression of thoughts, ideas, and concerns. It is inspiring to engage in discussions surrounding new initiatives that aim to enhance patient outcomes and improve healthcare services.

Forming a partnership with healthcare professionals is not an easy job. However, the welcoming attitude patience, and dedication of PNS teams made it possible and I would confidently say that it is one of the best experiences that I had till today.

In my opinion, the concept of PCC (Person-Centered Care) in general and PFAC (Patient and Family Advisory Councils) specifically revolves around the idea of making informed decisions and striving for continuous learning and improvement. PCC emphasizes the importance of focusing on individual patient needs and preferences, and PFAC serves as a platform for patients and their families to share their experiences and insights to improve the quality of care provided. By adopting these approaches, healthcare providers can create a more patient-centered and inclusive care environment.

The journey of success, achievement, ups and downs, and sorrows has a lot to be said. When I initially joined PNS-PFAC, I was thrilled and filled with enthusiasm to bring change to the culture, minds, and settings of the healthcare system. Being part of the council, we celebrated our collective successes and supported each other during challenging times.

Although I don't have an active patient anymore, I chose to remain a member of the PFAC in remembrance of my late daughter. It's also an opportunity to advocate for more vulnerable patients to the best of my abilities. I believe that the council has played a significant role in improving patient care and advocacy. In fact, PNS recognized these efforts and named a recognition award after her, which makes me proud.

I am glad to be associated with PNS PFAC, and I will continue to support the council's noble cause in every possible way
