Globally, healthcare leaders are increasingly advancing and embedding principles of continuous improvement in their organizations to empower staff in delivering safe, high quality and reliable care. As a result of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute (HHQI) was launched in 2015, under the leadership of HE Dr Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari, Minister of Public Health, to support Qatar’s changing healthcare landscape and the national focus on Quality Improvement and efficiency to deliver sustained changes.
The targeted focus on healthcare quality improvement aims to provide a framework to design and develop transformative programs to enhance efficiency, improve quality, optimize value and build capacity and capability. The main vision of the Minister was that HHQI would cultivate to serve as a leading resource for designing and sharing innovative healthcare solutions for Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), the State of Qatar and the greater region.
