Professor Raed M. Al-Zoubi
Professor Raed M. Al-Zoubi, BSc, MSc, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Scientist at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), an Associate Professor of bioorganic chemistry at Jordan University of Science and Technology, a fellow of the University of Waterloo and an Adjunct-Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedical Sciences/Qatar University with 12+ experience in academia, 5+ years in administration and 18+ years in research and technology developments addressing critical challenges in health, bio-catalysis and drug-like synthesis. He received several honors and awards in academia and exhibitions. An author of 60+ different publications and highlights as well as 4 patent publications. He received his Ph.D. at the University of Alberta/Canada in 2011. He was elected as Chairmen of the department for the academic years 2016–2018 and Assistant Dean for the academic years 2012–2015. He is currently the lead of the biomedical/basic science research unit at the Surgical Research Section at HMC. His current research interests include biomarkers of tumor and new drugs design and synthesis.
