Dr. Federico Usuelli
After graduating from the School of Medicine, Dr.Usuelli attended Duke University, where under Professor Nunley, DeOrio and Easley’s leadership, he published an important study on an innovative treatment for cartilage lesions. Then he took part in a cadaveric study for a new minimal invasive technique related to Achilles lesions. Today, this is worldwide, the most popular technique.
In 2011 his professional path led him to Switzerland, in Liestal, to Professor Beat Hintermann. During this time, Dr. Usuelli went through a treatment for ankle arthritis. This experience drove him to preserving joint movements in arthritic patients.
Dr. Usuelli is an active member of the AOFAS committee, founding member of the APSFAS (Asian Pacific Society of Foot and Ankle Surgery), reviewer of the American Journal of Sport Medicine as well as active participant to many international projects.
