Steven L. Haddad
Dr. Steven L. Haddad is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in treating conditions affecting the foot and ankle, primarily treating arthritic ankle conditions, as well as ankle, hindfoot and midfoot deformity corrections. He also is an expert in sports conditions affecting the foot and ankle. Dr. Haddad is a recognized national and international expert on total ankle replacement procedures. He has been heavily involved in designing a number of prostheses in the United States and trains surgeons throughout the world on their implantation. He is very familiar with all current US prostheses and candid discussions concerning recovery and expectations following ankle replacement are critical to long-term patient satisfaction, and are a hallmark of his practice.
In the world of sports, Dr. Haddad performs surgery using arthroscopic and other techniques to minimize incisions and the amount of tissue that must be cut, thus reducing pain and speeding recovery times. Dr. Haddad lectures at national and international courses concerning treating the high level athlete with foot and ankle pathology. Dr. Haddad has taught hundreds of continuing medical education courses for his fellow surgeons, residents, and medical students. He has served as Chair of the Education Committee for the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. Dr. Haddad currently is the President of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society. He has held numerous leadership positions within that two thousand member Society as well as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
